Barrie, Ontario — Innisdale Secondary School was placed on lockdown Wednesday after a person was injured in a stabbing incident on campus.
According to Barrie Police, officers responded to the school following reports of a stabbing. The victim, whose identity has not been released, sustained injuries and was treated by emergency medical personnel. The extent of the injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Multiple police units were seen surrounding the school and nearby area as officers worked to secure the scene. Authorities confirmed that **at least two individuals are in custody** in connection with the incident.
The lockdown, which was enacted as a precaution while police investigated, has since been lifted, and students are now safe.
