Merrylands Stabbing – Authorities have launched an investigation following a stabbing incident that occurred earlier today at Merrylands Train Station in western Sydney.
Emergency services were called to the station shortly following reports of an altercation resulting in a stabbing. Upon arrival, police and paramedics located a male victim suffering from stab wounds. He was treated at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
NSW Police have cordoned off part of the station while detectives examine the scene and review CCTV footage. The motive behind the attack is not yet clear, and no arrests have been made at this stage.
Train services at Merrylands Station were temporarily disrupted but have since resumed with delays.
The investigation is ongoing.
