On Saturday, August 30th, 2025, Alexander Hughes was called home to be with our Lord at the young age of 19. Though his passing was sudden and heartbreaking, we remember and celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the love he shared with everyone around him.

Alex was an incredible young man, full of warmth, light, and laughter. His heart was as big as his smile—genuine, bright, and unforgettable. A sophomore at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Alex was filled with ambition and potential, working hard toward a future that promised so much.

Sports were a lifelong passion for Alex. Whether he was on the basketball court, rounding the bases in baseball, or fine-tuning his golf swing, he played with joy and determination. He was also known for his love of chicken nuggets—a simple, funny quirk that brought smiles to those closest to him.

To know Alex was to love him. He was kind, caring, and quick to make others laugh. His presence had a way of lighting up every room, offering comfort and connection without ever trying. He touched so many lives in his short time here, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and compassion that will never fade.

A Gofundme was organized to help toward the unexpected funeral expenses to help ease the burden as the family navigate life without Alex.

Alex is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, teammates, classmates, and all who had the blessing of knowing him. His memory will live on in every heart he touched.

May he rest in eternal peace.
