It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Firefighter Mason Kraese of the Huntington Manor Fire Department. Mason tragically lost his life in an accident and was called Home far too soon.

A beloved member of the department and the community, Mason will be remembered not only for his dedication and service, but for the light he brought into every room. He was constantly smiling, radiating positivity, and touching the lives of those around him. To know Mason was to know kindness, humility, and unwavering warmth.

Those closest to him say Mason was the kind of young man who made the world a better place just by being in it. He had a bright spirit, a selfless heart, and a passion for helping others that made him an extraordinary firefighter and friend. As many have said, he was such a great kid that God must have needed him in Heaven.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kraese and Steenson families during this unimaginable time. Mason’s legacy will live on in the countless lives he impacted with his compassion, courage, and light.

Wake and funeral arrangements will be announced as they become available.

Rest in peace, brother. You will be forever missed and never forgotten.
