We are saddened to share the tragic passing of Loretta Dobos, 79, of Meadville, who lost her life on the evening of Friday, August 29, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle on Route 99 near Harrison Drive in Edinboro.
Emergency responders arrived quickly on scene and Loretta was transported to UPMC Hamot, where she was sadly pronounced dead shortly before 7:15 p.m.
Loretta’s passing has left a deep sorrow in the hearts of all who knew her. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
The incident is under investigation by state police. Route 99 was closed for several hours as authorities conducted their work.
