Police have launched an investigation following a stabbing incident in Bermondsey earlier today. Emergency services were called to the scene after reports of a serious assault.
Upon arrival, officers found a male victim suffering from stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital. His condition is currently unknown.
A cordon remains in place as detectives from the Metropolitan Police begin inquiries. No arrests have been made at this stage, and officers are appealing to the public for any information that may assist the investigation.
“We are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant footage or information to come forward,” a police spokesperson said. “Your assistance could prove vital.”
The motive for the attack has not yet been confirmed, and investigations are ongoing.
