It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua Alec Aguila, age 30, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle collision on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the intersection of North Graham Street and Norris Avenue in North Charlotte. Joshua was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passionate motorcyclist and free spirit, Joshua was known for his adventurous heart, kind soul, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He lived life boldly and authentically, bringing light, laughter, and warmth to everyone he encountered. His presence was magnetic—whether on the road or among friends and family, he made an impact that will never be forgotten.
Joshua’s life was tragically cut short far too soon, but the memories he created and the love he shared will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered not only for his zest for life but also for his compassion, integrity, and generous spirit.
The driver involved in the accident, Lorie Barber Hill, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
