Arlington, VA – August 21, 2025 — A person has died after falling from a high-rise apartment building in Ballston early Wednesday evening.
Emergency responders were called to the Meridian apartment building, located at 900 N. Stuart Street, around 6:20 p.m. after receiving reports that a man had fallen from an upper story and landed near the building’s driveway.
Upon arrival, medics pronounced the individual dead at the scene. The body was later covered with a white sheet, as Arlington County Police secured the area with yellow tape.
A visibly shaken crowd of onlookers gathered on nearby sidewalks as officers began their investigation. The incident drew a significant response from law enforcement and emergency personnel.
As of now, the victim’s identity has not been released, and the circumstances surrounding the fall remain under investigation. Authorities have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected or if the fall was accidental or intentional.
