Mill Creek, WA – August 17, 2025** — Mill Creek police are investigating a shooting that occurred during a fight on a Swift Orange Line bus Saturday evening.
The incident was reported shortly after 5 p.m. near the intersection of 164th Street SE and Mill Creek Boulevard. According to police, a physical altercation began on board the bus and escalated after spilling onto the street.
Authorities say individuals involved in the fight exited the bus and opened fire at it. In response, passengers who remained on the bus returned fire.
Remarkably, no injuries were reported, and no one was struck by gunfire.
The area was temporarily cordoned off as officers searched for suspects and collected evidence. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the bus and nearby businesses.
