Raleigh, NC – August 16, 2025 — Police responded to reports of gunshots at Southeast Raleigh High School on Friday night following a football jamboree event.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, a fight broke out in the school’s parking lot involving several teenagers. Witnesses reported hearing gunfire shortly after the altercation began.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and officials confirmed that no one was struck by gunfire. Authorities have not made any arrests as of Saturday morning and said the investigation is ongoing.
Police are urging anyone with information or video footage of the incident to come forward.
Southeast Raleigh High School and Wake County Public Schools have not released a statement at this time.
