It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leeann Busse, a dedicated educator and cherished member of the Unified School District of De Pere. Leeann passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, commitment, and profound impact on the lives of countless students, colleagues, and families.
Leeann devoted her life to education, spending many years in the classroom where she not only taught, but inspired. Known for her warmth, patience, and unwavering belief in every student’s potential, she was more than a teacher — she was a mentor, a guide, and a friend.
Her colleagues remember her as a pillar of the school community — someone who led by example, always quick to offer support, share a kind word, or lend a helping hand. Her presence brought comfort and strength, and her absence will be deeply felt.
Outside of the classroom, Leeann was a loving family member and friend. She brought the same grace and kindness to her personal life that she did to her profession, touching hearts everywhere she went.
As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the life she lived and the many lives she shaped. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her students and all who had the privilege to know her.
A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
