Reese Shavers, 58, of Perkinston, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, following a motorcycle accident in Gulfport.
Shavers was driving south on Cowan-Lorraine Road, just south of Seaway Road, when he collided with another car, Switzer said. He died at the scene.

Reese was born in 1967 and was a lifelong resident of Mississippi. He was known for his love of the open road, his strong work ethic, and his deep connection to his community. Friends and family remember him as a kind, loyal, and dependable man who always made time for others.
He is survived by his family and many friends who will miss his steady presence and generous spirit.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
