Arlington, TX – Arlington police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday morning at a local hair salon on South Cooper Street. According to report, a woman entered a hair salon and shot a man multiple times before shooting herself.
The deceased victim was identified as Todd Austin. The man and woman had previously been in a romantic relationship, according to report.
Officers responded to the scene around 10:15 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting inside the salon. According to investigators, a woman entered the business and shot a 37-year-old man multiple times while he was inside as a customer.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police that the woman attempted to leave the building as officers arrived. She then went back inside the salon and shot herself, police said. The woman was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
