It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wylie Elick, 82, of Lemoore, California, who died following a car accident near Hanford on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
The Kings County Coroner’s Office confirmed Mr. Elick passed away from injuries sustained in a collision at the intersection of Grangeville Boulevard and 15th Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 11 a.m. when the driver of a 2014 Honda Accord veered off the road and swerved back into the westbound lane, resulting in a head-on collision with a 2024 Tesla Model 3. While multiple individuals were transported to the hospital, Mr. Elick was the only fatality.
Wylie was a longtime resident of Lemoore and a beloved member of his community. Known for his wisdom, warmth, and quiet strength, he touched the lives of many. Whether through his friendships, family connections, or simple acts of kindness, Wylie will be remembered for the grace and compassion he extended to others.
He is survived by loving family members and friends who mourn his loss deeply. Wylie’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
