It is with deep sorrow and heartbreak that we announce the untimely passing of Victor LaPharaohs, age 22, who was tragically taken from us on Monday, June 30, 2025, in the Scotlandville community of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The shooting happened around 3:15 p.m., Monday, in the 9900 block of Avenue J and Woodpecker Street. Police say upon arrival, they found a man dead in a parking lot of a housing community.

Victor was born 2003, and grew up surrounded by family who cherished him deeply. Known for his warm spirit, sharp wit, and unwavering loyalty, Victor was a bright young man with a promising future ahead. He was employed at Amazon, where he worked diligently and was respected by coworkers for his dedication and positive attitude.

Victor was more than just his work — he was a loving son, a supportive brother, and a loyal friend. He had dreams, goals, and a life full of potential that was tragically cut short far too soon.

He leaves behind a grieving family, including his parents, siblings, extended relatives, and many friends who will forever hold his memory close. His smile, kindness, and presence will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

A homicide investigation is currently underway, and the family asks for privacy during this difficult time. They also urge anyone with information to come forward to help bring justice for Victor.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Rest in power, Victor. You deserved so much more.
