Authorities are investigating after an individual died following a distressing incident at Virginia Beach pier on Friday. Emergency services responded to the scene following reports of the tragic incident.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. It is unclear at this time whether foul play is suspected or if the incident may have been a suicide.
