It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chris Whyte, a beloved son, friend, and member of the Woodbridge community, who tragically lost his life on the evening of Thursday, June 12, 2025, in Long Branch, New Jersey. He was [age, if known] years old.
Chris was fatally wounded following a violent altercation near the beach and boardwalk area of Pier Village, where he had been enjoying the summer atmosphere. Despite efforts by emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation by Monmouth County authorities.
Born and raised in Woodbridge, Chris was known for his warm smile, kind heart, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved. Friends and family remember him as someone who lit up any room he entered and always found time to help others. His sudden departure leaves a void that can never truly be filled.
