It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Crohan, 62, and his wife, Stephanie Crohan, 63, who died following a murder-suicide on Wednesday evening, June 11, 2025, at their home in Jamesport, New York.
Edward and Stephanie were both retired law enforcement officers who dedicated their lives to serving their communities with honor and integrity. Edward was a retired officer from the Southampton Police Department, while Stephanie served proudly with the Suffolk County Police Department before her retirement.
The couple was found at their home on Lagoon Court following a welfare check by Riverhead Town police. Authorities confirmed that both had succumbed to gunshot wounds. An investigation determined that 62-year-old Edward Crohan killed his 63-year-old wife, Stephanie Crohan, and then shot himself to death
Their sudden and tragic loss has deeply impacted all who knew them.
