It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the tragic and untimely passing of Tanisha Finley, 43, and Rodney Finley, 44, who lost their lives on Sunday, June 8, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police wrote that the shooting appeared to stem from an ongoing feud between Ruiz and the two victims
Tanisha and Rodney were more than just beloved members of their family and community — they were a vibrant couple whose lives were rooted in love, resilience, and dedication to those around them. Known for their warm spirits, infectious laughter, and unwavering support for each other, they left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know them.
Tanisha was a nurturing soul with a fierce love for her family. Her strength, compassion, and creativity shone through in everything she did. Rodney, a loyal and determined man, was admired for his integrity and sense of humor. Together, they built a life of unity and strength, grounded in mutual respect and affection.
Their lives were tragically cut short due to a senseless act of violence on the Las Vegas Strip, a heartbreaking end to a story filled with love and potential. They are survived by family, friends, and a community that will never forget the joy and light they brought into the world.
A joint memorial service will be announced by the family in the coming days.
