With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jon DeFalco, 71, of Rockaway, New Jersey, who tragically lost his life on June 8, 2025, in a single-vehicle accident on Route 80 West in Parsippany-Troy Hills.
Jon was a beloved husband, father, friend, and community leader whose legacy is defined by compassion, service, and dedication. Known for his entrepreneurial spirit, Jon owned and operated the Green Pond Grill and The Chauffeur in Rockaway before his retirement. He was also deeply committed to helping others through his role as assistant director at Integrity House in Secaucus, a nonprofit organization that provides vital support for individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges.
Jon lived a life of purpose and generosity, always extending a hand to those in need and inspiring others through his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering work ethic. Whether in business, mentorship, or friendship, Jon made a difference in countless lives.
He will be remembered for his warm heart, his dedication to community service, and the love he had for his family and friends. His sudden loss leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him.
A wake service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Di Chiara Funeral Home in Lodi, New Jersey. All who knew and loved Jon are invited to attend and pay their respects.
