It is with unimaginable sorrow that we share the passing of three Owen J. Roberts High School students—Nasir Youk, Gabriel Cooper, and Siniyah Newsuan—who tragically lost their lives in a car crash on the night of Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in the 300 block of West Ridge Pike in Limerick Township. All were just 17 years old.

The three teens, beloved members of the Class of 2025, were full of promise, energy, and compassion. They each brought light into the lives of their families, friends, and the wider Owen J. Roberts community.

Nasir Youk was known for his kind heart, quiet strength, and steady loyalty. A dependable friend and thoughtful student, Nasir touched many lives with his calm presence and warm smile.

Gabriel Cooper was vibrant and driven, someone who made others feel seen and included. He was passionate about his future, always willing to lend a helping hand or a word of encouragement.

Siniyah Newsuan radiated joy and creativity. Her laughter was contagious, and her spirit lifted those around her. She had dreams of making a difference and was already well on her way to doing so.

The crash, which also left a 15-year-old male student hospitalized, has sent waves of grief through the entire school district and community. Counselors and support services have been made available for students, staff, and families as they navigate this devastating loss.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is currently investigating the circumstances of the crash. In a statement, officials expressed deep condolences to the families and acknowledged the profound impact on the school and township.

These three beautiful lives ended far too soon. They will be remembered not only for who they were, but for who they were becoming. Their memory will forever be a part of Owen J. Roberts, and their absence will be deeply felt.

Funeral arrangements for each student will be shared by their respective families in the coming days.

May Nasir, Gabriel, and Siniyah rest in eternal peace, and may their families be surrounded by strength and love in this time of unspeakable loss.
