Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an individual who descended down the Falls into the Niagara River May 30
Law enforcement officials were notified of an incident in which Niagara Parks Police Service officers responded to a report of a suicidal person near the Falls.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of family. Police have not indicated whether foul play is suspected, but the incident is being carefully reviewed.
