We are saddened to announce the tragic passing of an adult male, who lost his life in the early hours of Tuesday morning, May 28, 2025, after being struck by an NJ Transit train near Summit Station in New Jersey.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:28 a.m. when NJ Transit’s Morris & Essex Line train 6907, en route from New York Penn Station to Dover, fatally injured the individual. Despite immediate response efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At the time of the accident, approximately 50 passengers and crew members were on board the train. Thankfully, no additional injuries were reported.
At this time, the identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of family. NJ Transit authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
