Houston, TX – The Houston Police Department is currently on the scene at the Galleria Mall following a shooting incident that occurred just outside the popular shopping center.
According to initial reports, a man was shot and is currently receiving emergency medical treatment. EMS responders are on-site and have applied a tourniquet to the victim as part of lifesaving efforts.
As a result of the incident, westbound traffic on Westheimer Road from Post Oak Boulevard has been shut down while police secure the area and begin their investigation. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
