A chaotic scene unfolded at Menlo Park Mall on Saturday evening as a massive brawl involving an estimated 300 teenagers broke out on the second floor, rapidly spreading throughout the entire mall.
Witnesses described a terrifying atmosphere as groups of out-of-control teens clashed, prompting panicked patrons and store employees to lock themselves inside businesses for safety. The incident began shortly after 7:00 p.m., when an initial call to police falsely reported that shots had been fired inside the mall. Law enforcement later confirmed that no shots were fired.
Approximately 2,000 juveniles were reportedly at the mall for an organized event when the disturbance began.
