It is with profound sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jesus “Chucho” Valladares, age 11, of Racine, Wisconsin, who tragically lost his life on Friday, May 17, 2025.
Chucho was born full of life and joy, and in his short time with us, he made a lasting impact on everyone he met. A fifth grader with a boundless spirit, he was known for his energy, his infectious smile, and his genuine kindness. He loved being outdoors—whether riding his bike, playing with friends, or simply soaking in the world around him. Chucho’s presence lit up every room, and his heart was as big as his dreams.
He was a cherished son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend. His family remembers him as a gentle soul with a playful heart, someone who brought laughter and light into their lives every single day.
Chucho’s life was tragically cut short on the night of May 16, in a senseless act of violence at a home on Prospect Street. Despite the heroic efforts of his family to rush him to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. His loss has left a void that can never be filled.
As we mourn this unimaginable tragedy, we also celebrate the joy that Chucho brought into the world during his 11 precious years. He will be remembered always for the love he gave and the light he brought to so many.
Funeral arrangements are currently being made and will be announced by the family.
Rest in peace, Chucho. You were loved more than words can express, and you will never be forgotten.
