It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Justin Bettencourt, age 21, of Dorchester, who died on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, following a tragic shooting in Roxbury.
At approximately 2:55 PM, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a report of a person shot in the area of 107 Munroe Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Justin suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Born and raised in Dorchester, Justin was a young man full of potential and promise. He was known for his warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends. His sudden and untimely passing has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Justin is survived by his family, friends, and members of the Dorchester community who are mourning the loss of a life taken far too soon.
