It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Kerry Eastman, who died in the early hours of May 4, 2025, at the age of 43.
Kerry, a member of Sandy Bay First Nation and a resident of Winnipeg, was known for his resilient spirit, warm heart, and deep connection to his community. His life was tragically cut short following an incident in the 500 block of Waterfront Drive, where he was the victim of a violent assault. Despite the immediate efforts of Winnipeg Police officers and paramedics, Kerry succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
His sudden passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. Friends and family remember Kerry for his strength, his loyalty, and the kindness he showed to others. He was a son, a brother, a friend, and a proud member of his community.
