It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Michael Hughes, 23, Giannh Viars, 21, and Aiden David, 19, who lost their lives in an apparent murder-suicide on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio.
Officers were called to an apartment in the 3000 block of Esquire Drive around 12:20 a.m.
Authorities said that according to relatives, Viars and Hughes were married but had separated. Viars had been dating David.
Giannh Viars was a vibrant and compassionate soul, full of warmth and strength. Known for her kindness and dedication to those she loved, Giannh’s light touched many. Though her life was far too short, her memory will remain cherished in the hearts of those who knew her best.
This tragedy has left a community in mourning and serves as a painful reminder of the importance of mental health, support, and peaceful resolution in the face of personal struggle.
