A tragic shooting unfolded Friday evening at Fleetwood Manor, formerly known as such, in the area of 25 Fleetwood Drive in Greenville. Authorities have confirmed that multiple juveniles were shot in the incident.
A 3-year-old child has tragically died from their injuries. A 5-year-old is currently undergoing emergency surgery, and an 18-year-old victim is in critical condition and being evaluated through a CT scan. First responders are also actively treating at least one additional individual at the scene.
Law enforcement and emergency personnel responded swiftly to the scene and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. It is not yet clear how many individuals were involved or whether a suspect has been identified or taken into custody.
“This is a heartbreaking scene,” a first responder said. “Our priority is to care for the victims and ensure the area is safe.”
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is expected to release more details as the investigation progresses. Community members are urged to avoid the area as police continue their work.
