An early morning shooting in southern Dallas on Sunday has left one person dead and another injured, according to Dallas police.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 3:35 a.m. in the 4300 block of South Malcolm X Boulevard. Upon arrival, authorities discovered that two individuals had been shot at the location.
One of the victims, identified as 18-year-old Kamron Taque, was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The second victim was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle and is currently listed in stable condition, police said in a press release.
Kamron’s death marks another tragic instance of gun violence in the community. Described by friends and loved ones as a young man full of potential, Kamron’s loss has left many grieving and searching for answers.
As of now, no arrests have been made. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
