It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of DeAngelo Osborne, age 25, of Hampton, Virginia, who tragically lost his life on April 11, 2025. DeAngelo was the victim of a senseless act of violence that occurred outside Karma Lounge in downtown Hampton. Despite the efforts of first responders and medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.
Known affectionately to many as Coach Osborne, DeAngelo was more than a coach — he was a mentor, a father, and a source of unwavering strength and inspiration in the Plugboyz 6U football community. His impact on the field was matched only by his influence off it. He led with heart, integrity, and an unshakeable belief in every child he coached.
Above all, DeAngelo was a devoted father to his son, Nasir, whom he supported with pride, joy, and unconditional love. Their bond was undeniable — a testament to the kind of man DeAngelo was. To Nasir and every young player who felt Coach’s encouragement, wisdom, and belief, his spirit lives on.
DeAngelo’s legacy will be remembered in the chants of young athletes, in the laughter on the field, and in the strength of the community he helped build. He leaves behind a grieving family, a heartbroken team, and a community forever changed by his presence.
We ask for continued prayers for the Osborne family and everyone touched by DeAngelo’s life. May justice be served, and may his memory guide us toward peace.
Rest in peace, Coach Osborne. Your name will echo in every huddle, every practice, and every victory.
