It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeremy G. Britt, 31, of Reevesville, South Carolina, who tragically lost his life on the evening of Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
Jeremy passed away from gunshot wounds sustained during a family altercation at his residence on Wire Road, as confirmed by Dorchester County Coroner Paul Brouthers. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Deputies with the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office reported that one suspect was taken into custody in connection with the shooting, though no further details have been released at this time.
Jeremy will be remembered as a son, a friend, and a member of the Reevesville community. His life, though cut short far too soon, touched those around him in countless ways. Known for his quiet strength and generous heart, Jeremy leaves behind loved ones who will forever cherish his memory and mourn his absence.
