It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Knecht, a beloved member of the Barrett Township community. Linda, 63, tragically lost her life in a fatal crash on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, along Route 447 in Barrett Township, Pennsylvania.
Linda was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her warm heart, unwavering generosity, and dedication to her family. A lifelong resident of Barrett Township, Linda’s kindness and strong sense of community made her a beloved figure in the area. Her passing leaves a deep void in the lives of all who knew her.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, Linda’s vehicle was involved in a tragic accident. She was pronounced deceased at the scene, and her death was ruled accidental due to blunt force injuries. The Monroe County Coroner’s Office, along with local authorities, is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Linda is survived by her family, including her children, grandchildren, and many dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts. While her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit and the memories of her loving nature will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A private memorial service will be held by her family to celebrate her life and honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of choice in Linda’s name.
