East Lansing High School suicide – The community is heartbroken as we mourn the untimely passing of Desta, a beloved young man, friend, and classmate who has left us far too soon. Desta was found dead in apparent suicide. Desta’s warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit touched the lives of so many. His ability to light up a room with his smile and offer support to those in need made him a treasured friend to all who knew him. His absence leaves an unfillable void, and his memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and the countless individuals who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.
