Authorities have confirmed the tragic passing of Pablo Nunez, 45, who was fatally struck by a falling tree at his home in northern Jefferson County on Saturday evening. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified Nunez as the victim of this heartbreaking accident.
At approximately 6:10 p.m., Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies and Gardendale Fire and Rescue Service responded to the 100 block of Neely Road. According to Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates, Nunez was in the process of cutting down a tree on his property when the tree fell and struck him.
