It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Kaylah Aleah Love, a vibrant and promising 16-year-old girl, whose life was senselessly cut short. Kaylah was found deceased on Monday, March 17, 2025, at approximately 5 p.m. in Horan Park, located in the Garfield Park neighborhood. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed her death as a result of multiple injuries sustained during an assault, ruling her death a homicide.
Kaylah was a bright and caring young woman, full of potential and dreams. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness, warmth, and infectious smile. As a student, daughter, and friend, Kaylah was known for her loving nature and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Her untimely death leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of her family, friends, and the community she was part of.
