It is with profound sadness that we report the untimely passing of Jaclyn Xue, a beloved 17-year-old student at Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District in Plainview, New York. Jaclyn was reported missing on February 23, 2025, after she was last seen boarding an eastbound train at the LIRR Hicksville station at approximately 11:00 AM.
Despite efforts by the Nassau County Police Department to locate her, Jaclyn’s final destination remained unknown, though she was last reported in Downtown Brooklyn. Tragically, her body was discovered recently, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
Jaclyn, a bright and promising young woman, was known for her kindness, intelligence, and passion for her studies. Her teachers and friends at John F. Kennedy High School remember her as a hardworking and compassionate individual who always strived to make a difference in the lives of others.
Her family, friends, and the entire community are devastated by this loss, and our hearts go out to them during this incredibly difficult time. Jaclyn will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
