It is with deep sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Joshua Smith, 34, who was fatally shot on Sunday afternoon, February 9, 2025, in the Mount Auburn neighborhood of Cincinnati. Joshua’s untimely death has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
At approximately 4:25 p.m., first responders arrived at the scene on Maplewood Avenue, where they found Joshua and immediately began life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, he was later transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was sadly pronounced dead.
Joshua was known for his kind spirit, loyalty to those he loved, and his unshakable support for his friends and family. His passing is a devastating loss to all who knew him. He is survived by his parents, siblings, extended family, and many friends who will forever remember his positive presence and the joy he brought to their lives.
