Shakhar Chapagai Death – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic loss of two lives in the mass shooting that occurred at a New Albany, Ohio, warehouse on Tuesday, February 3, 2025. The victims, 30-year-old Shakhar Chapagai and 38-year-old Kyle Vaver, were both taken too soon in this senseless act of violence.
Kyle Vaver, a resident of Pickerington, Ohio, was found deceased at the warehouse. Kyle was known for his hardworking nature and his dedication to those he loved. His bright spirit and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered fondly by his family, friends, and colleagues.
Shakhar Chapagai, of Columbus, Ohio, was taken to a hospital following the shooting and was later pronounced dead at 10:33 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2025. Shakhar’s kindness and enthusiasm for life will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. He was a person who always brought warmth and positivity wherever he went.
The shooting, which left six people injured, took place in an industrial section of New Albany. Authorities have confirmed that the accused shooter, an employee of the warehouse, had been working for several hours before opening fire and leaving the scene in a rideshare vehicle.
Both Shakhar and Kyle’s families are devastated by the loss of their loved ones. As they grieve, they ask for privacy during this incredibly difficult time and appreciate the outpouring of support from the community.
A memorial service to honor both Shakhar and Kyle’s lives will be announced shortly. Though their time with us was tragically short, their legacies will live on in the hearts of those who loved them.
