It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of 40-year-old Christopher Ray Smith, of Nashville, who was tragically killed in a shooting incident on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at a North Nashville KFC.
Christopher was a kind and loving man who always had a smile to share and a compassionate heart for those around him. He was known for his sense of humor, his generosity, and his unwavering loyalty to his family and friends. His sudden and untimely loss has left a void in the lives of all who knew him.
On the day of his death, Christopher was engaged in a brief altercation sparked by an unrestrained bulldog approaching him and a friend. In the course of the exchange, 30-year-old Isaiah Maston fired multiple shots at Christopher, leading to the fatal injuries that resulted in his death after being transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Christopher is survived by his loving family, friends, and community who will forever cherish his memory and the impact he made on their lives. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him, and his presence will be missed dearly.
A memorial service in Christopher’s honor will be held in the coming days. The family asks for privacy during this difficult time, and they express their heartfelt appreciation for the support and condolences received from the community.
