It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Joseph Donohue, 65, of Charlestown, who was found deceased on the evening of Sunday, February 2, 2025. Joseph’s life was sadly cut short after a violent incident on a houseboat located on Shipway Place in Charlestown.
At approximately 10:43 PM that evening, officers from District 15 (Charlestown) responded to the scene to investigate reports of an incident. Upon arrival, they discovered Joseph Donohue, who was unresponsive and later determined to be non-viable. A subsequent investigation revealed that Joseph had died from multiple stab wounds, and the death has been ruled a homicide by authorities.
Joseph, a longtime resident of Charlestown, was a kind and compassionate individual who will be remembered for his love of the community and his devotion to those around him. Friends and family remember him as someone who always made time for others, offering both a listening ear and a helping hand whenever needed.
