It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cherie D. Valentine, a beloved member of the Bloomington community, who tragically lost her life in a fatal pedestrian crash on Friday, February 2, 2025. Cherie, 76, was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Empire Plaza Shopping Center, located at 1600 East Empire Street, and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Cherie was known for her kind and loving nature, and her presence in the community will be greatly missed. She was a devoted friend, family member, and neighbor, who touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity. Cherie’s loss leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be remembered for her unwavering spirit and kindness.
Cherie is survived by her loving family and dear friends who will forever carry her memory with them. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her.
