Nancy Santos, 92, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, after a tragic house fire in the early hours of the morning. She was rescued from her home on Sheridan Circle by the Oak Ridge Fire Department and transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.
Nancy was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her warm heart, kind spirit, and unwavering strength. She lived a full and meaningful life, always putting her family at the center of everything she did. Her daughter, who was with her at the time of the fire, was able to escape the home and call for help.
Though we mourn her passing, we find comfort in the cherished memories she leaves behind. Nancy was a woman who always knew how to make others feel loved and valued. Her family, friends, and all who knew her will carry her legacy of compassion and resilience with them.
Nancy is survived by her daughter and other loving family members.
The family requests privacy during this difficult time and appreciates the outpouring of love and support from the community.
