It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Mason Sheets, age 17, of Fulton, Missouri. Mason was found deceased late Sunday night, January 19, 2025, after a devastating act of violence. His death has left his family, friends, and community in shock and mourning.
Mason was born in Fulton, Missouri. He was a kind, vibrant young man who brought joy to everyone he met. Known for his infectious smile, caring nature, and unwavering loyalty to his friends and family, Mason had a heart of gold. He was loved by many and will be remembered for his warm spirit and positive outlook on life.
On the night of January 19, officers responded to a call of a disabled vehicle at South Business 54 and Commons Drive, where they discovered Mason’s lifeless body in the vehicle. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the best efforts of law enforcement, Mason’s life was tragically cut short. He was later identified as the victim of this senseless act of violence.
A juvenile has been detained in connection with Mason’s death, and the Fulton Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Mason’s family asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult time as they begin to process their grief. They are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from the community and ask anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
