Man dead after hitting tree in Jones County

The individual who died in an automobile accident in Jones County on Thursday morning has been identified as David Davis, 28, of Laurel. Emergency service responded to the crash near 70 Bush Road around 8 a.m.

Firefighters discovered a Nissan vehicle that had veered off the road and struck a tree.

According to Bumgardner, the car’s driver had to be rescued after being discovered dead. Because of the severe damage to the vehicle, the extrication took almost forty-five minutes.

Bumgardner stated that the driver of the vehicle was discovered deceased and had to be extricated. The extrication took around 45 minutes due to the vehicle’s extensive damage.

The Jones County Sheriff’s Office, EMServ Ambulance Service, and Jones County Coroner’s Office were all on the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
