The teenager who died following a shooting at Wawa on West Main Street in Stroudsburg has been identified as 17-year-old Garrett Sorrenti. Around 8:30 p.m. Police officers responded to the area where they found the teen suffering from apparent gusnhot wound to the neck.
Stroudsburg was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
According to police, the incident started as a verbal dispute before escalating into a physical confrontation involving several individuals inside the store.
During the altercation, a man brandished a handgun, fired a single shot, and then fled the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
