21-year-old Christian West of Hyattsville has been identified as the person killed following a shooting Sunday night in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights. The tragic incident unfolded on November 24, 2024 in the 5000 block of Lee Jay Court.
Law enforcement officials were deployed to the scene of a reported shooting. Officers found the victim outside suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting. No arrest has been made.
